Endorsements!
Update Oct. 19: Two more endorsements! See below.
I received two big endorsements last week!
First, DC YIMBYs, the local chapter of the campaign to make it possible to build more housing in more places, released their list of endorsements on September 9. It was a bee-utiful thing.
Then, at the end of the week, Greater Greater Washington, the local blog and advocates for safer streets, more housing, and better public policy, released their endorsements for Ward 1 ANC races, in which they said,
voters have a top-notch choice in J. Swiderski, who is without a doubt the most qualified. They have a deep knowledge of how DC agencies work (and importantly, the specific ways they don’t work), currently serve on the Pedestrian Advisory Council, and have been an effective expert and advocate for road safety projects for the better part of a decade. We look forward to J. bolstering ANC 1B’s decisionmaking, especially on zoning cases on and around U Street.
That last one’s so good, I put it on my signs.
Update!
Since this was originally posted, I’ve received additional endorsements from Brianne Nadeau and from Erin Palmer, as well as the support of other current, former, and future Commissioners from across the District.
